We should be celebrating weight loss like we celebrate cancer surgery - gee, sorry to hear that you had to go through it but let's hope the problem stays away. Let's have a success party at the 5-year anniversary.
Feedback from attendees at the latest Olympic Weightlifting Certification:
"This course rocked. I really wish I could give some constructive criticism, but it was even better than I expected. In fact, I joked with a friend that I learned more cool and useful things in 2 days from Coach B than in 4 years at college.
The facility was excellent; Rainier CrossFit was huge, well equipped, well lit, and the coolest part was getting to open the 5 bay doors when the weather improved on Sunday. In fact, one of the most inspiring moments of my life happened during the course! The sun was shining into the gym after a fresh rain, Coach B was instructing our small group, I had a barbell in hand, and there was nowhere else I'd rather. Truly amazing stuff.
The coaching was world class. The most important aspect for me was not only learning the movements, but also the reasoning behind the movements. Coach B and staff brought in several perspectives that all helped reinforce the fundamentals of the lifts. He really is an inspiration, and I felt honored to learn directly from the legend himself.
The structure of the class was excellent, as well, and there was a very efficient use of time. There was a perfect balance of video examples, live instruction, and hands on activity/coaching. By the end of the class, I felt confident in safely and effectively walking anyone through the Oly lifts."
"This weekend I attended the CF Olympic Lifting Certification at Rainier Crossfit in Sumner, WA. This was one of the most informative classes I have ever taken. Coach B and his coaches took all the time necessary to ensure each progression was learned and practiced. Awesome."
I just wanted to let you know this was one of the best certs I have attended."
The next time you read some study on the BMI (Body Mass Index) or how exercise affects a small group of untrained college-age men, remember that the data they are examining was picked because it was cheap. It wasn't picked because it was the right data; it was picked because that's all the researchers could afford.
