Inflammation is a healing process, not an injury itself. The presence of inflammation is a MARKER for injury but it is not the injury itself. You can have injury without inflammation but you can never have inflammation without injury. Injury without inflammation is probably a BAD thing; it probably means you're not going to heal. If you have chronic inflammation then you simply haven't ever recovered from whatever ails you.
We shouldn't be TREATING inflammation; that means we're treating HEALING. We should be speeding up the healing process, not slowing it down. Inflammation runs through a cycle - the faster we get through that cycle the faster we heal.
Move & Heat works better than Rest & Ice.
